Summary - Field Technician CMT: We are currently seeking candidates interested in working in a hands-on, field-based role performing tests on construction materials. This is a great opportunity for candidates who prefer to be working outdoors while also utilizing their technical skills. Most of your work will be performed at active construction sites as a QA/QC specialist.
Responsibility Summary - Field Technician - CMT:
- Performs field quality control tests on plastic concrete.
- Performs field density testing on soil, asphalt and aggregate.
- Performs routine laboratory tests on soil, concrete, asphalt and other construction materials.
- Prepares written daily field observation reports and summary reports.
- Obtain and maintain all required safety training and certifications which could include, but are not limited to: OSHA 10 Hour, CPR/First Aid, and defensive driving.
- Adhere to all the safety requirements of the position while assisting team members to do the same.
- Performs all other duties as assigned.
- High school diploma is required
- Associates or Bachelors degree in Construction or Engineering preferred but not necessary
- Preferred experience in engineering field inspections
- Preferred ACI Certification but not required
- Valid Drivers license
- Ability to meet the compliance requirements (drug screen, background check, and motor vehicle record check)
- Ability to meet the physical requirements
